Our Story
Roak Swahili Wear is proudly based in Likoni, Mombasa, where we craft beautiful, handmade beaded sandals. Our footwear has made its way across Kenya from the coastal towns to cities like Nairobi, Kisumu, Homa Bay, and Siaya. Today, we employ 12 young artisans and sellers, and work with 20 dedicated resellers who bring our sandals to beach communities along the coast.
While beaded sandals are popular in Kenya, Roak Swahili Wear stands out by offering fully customized designs made from genuine leather. In our area, we're also the sole supplier of essential materials like beads and soles making us a trusted partner for many other sandal makers. Some of our sandals are even made from recycled tires, helping promote a circular economy.
Our vision is to reshape how people view their footwear not just as fashion statements, but as tools for comfort, sustainability, and self-expression.
